Information for this page supplied by:Norm Klym. While in Vietnam, the Regiment was converted from Airborne to Airmobile Infantry. Though somewhat limited in mobility by the terrain in the 11th Brigade's area of operation, E Troop has proved the value of armor-protected firepower on repeated occasions. While the 11th Light Infantry Brigade does not presently have a formal association, we do have a very active Facebook page. On 8 December 1970 it returned to Schofield Barracks less personnel and equipment and was inactivated on 24 July 1972. The brigade was ordered to Vietnam in early summer of 1966 and arrived there by sea and air in August 1966.
